8 Film Scores Released By Lakeshore Records Qualify For Oscar Nominations!

The list of film scores which qualify to be nominated for an Academy Award is out and eight (8) Lakeshore Records releases are on the list: Dolphin Tale 2 (Rachel Portman), Draft Day (John Debney), Girl On A Bicycle (Craig Richey), Merchants of Doubt (Mark Adler), Nightcrawler (James Newton Howard), The One I Love (Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans), Tracks (Garth Stevenson) and Walking With The Enemy (Timothy Williams). We look forward to seeing our favorite composers receive their Oscar® nominations! We are so proud of their amazing contribution to the motion picture industry and to their craft in film scoring. ‘Mandy’s Charts’ is such a tearjerker. It’s only a little bit over a minute long, but it’s so good. ‘Morning Show / Mavis’s Release’ is an inspirational powerhouse of a cue. Portman was the first female film composer to ever win an Academy Award in the category of Best Musical or Comedy Score (for Emma in 1996).
