With dialogue almost as snappy and effervescent as the jazzy score, Trumbo and crew subvert and foil the enemy. The mix of drama and humor works well here and comedic backgrounds of many of Trumbo’s stars becomes an incredible asset, adding almost perfect timing to many a line-reading. – Consequence of Sound
Trumbo (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) features score by Theodore Shapiro, acclaimed composer of films such as St. Vincent, Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and the recent Lakeshore Records release, Infinitely Polar Bear. Theodore’s diverse contributions to the film music world is punctuated by Trumbo, says of Soundtrack Geek: “I’ve never heard Shapiro quite like this… this for me though is his best one yet.”
