Journey To Space: Hear The Exclusive Premiere Of ‘Endeavor’s Final Journey’ Feat. An Intro By Composer Cody Westheimer, Film Now In Select IMAX Theaters

Composer Cody Westheimer’s Epic Score For Giant Screen Format Journey To Space Can Now Be Heard In Select Specialty Theaters Across The Country

I really enjoy the swirling theme [Cody] Westheimer has created. It sounds like this could be a great journey into space and beyond. Remember this is about the human journey as well. Westheimer keep on using the female voice in ‘To Mars And Beyond’ and I can’t conclude with anything yet, but I think we’ll be hearing more from her. I think it’s a good choice by Westheimer to use a human voice to represent the human journey and what we’ve achieved as a species and how far we’ve come.  -Read the full review at SoundtrackGeek.com

Merchants Of Doubt’s Composer Mark Adler ‘Shows The Power Of Documentary Scoring’ | Film Music Magazine

Yet having worked together on the impactful “Food, Inc.,” [Mark] Adler, and [Robert] Kenner also know there’s a serious point here for all of the snarky laughter they provide. And as the hugely entertaining “Merchants” reaches its sad, if still hopeful final point for a situation that’s pretty much irreversible, Adler’s once-humorous melodies darken to reveal themselves as serving as poignant food for thought. The result shows the power of documentary scoring to have all of the belief-changing impact of dramatized “fiction” film music, with “Merchant’s” musical impact showing just how well Adler is versed in both cinematic worlds. -Daniel Schweiger, Film Music Magazine

Merchants of Doubt Is Certified Fresh! Preview The Soundtrack Feat. Emmy Winner Mark Adler, Film Opens On March 6 In New York And Los Angeles!

One of the things I like about film scoring is that over the years, different projects have commanded different types of music and I’ve always been able to dial in something that I personally like stylistically in order to serve that particular film. The other thing is that I never want to feel that I’m becoming a hack and recycling old stuff. It’s really important that I respond to the picture in front of me in a completely fresh and in the moment way. -Composer Mark Adler

The people have spoken: Merchants of Doubt is Certified Fresh on RottenTomatoes.com: where ratings are generated by user submissions.   SoundtrackGeek.com, which gave the album a high score, says the soundtrack is “comedic and ironic” with “moody, dreamy and ambient” cues.  And, with the backing of Los Angeles Times film critic Kenneth Turan, who calls the film “enthralling,” summarizes the documentary in his recent review: “It gives a peek behind the curtain of how public opinion is formed in this country, how spin doctors and media manipulators — often the same folks working across a whole range of issues — get people to ignore science at their own peril.”  Merchants of Doubt is a movie-going experience you don’t want to miss.  Directed by Robert Kenner, Merchants of Doubt opens in theaters on March 6 in New York and Los Angeles (check show times).  Stay tuned for more soundtrack details!

The Rewrite: Score By Clyde Lawrence Is Soundtrack Geek’s New Go-To Album, Watch The Film Now On Demand!

I love how well produced these cues are. It sounds like it was produced by Quincy Jones or a legend like that. It is positively funkalicious! ‘Austen’ is my kind of cue. Jazzy delight from start to finish. Love it! One of the best cues of the year so far for me. –Read the full review at SoundtrackGeek.com
