Cartel Land: Award-Winning Doc In Select Theaters Now, Own The Soundtrack

Cartel Land, director Matthew Heineman’s Sundance Film Festival award-winning documentary is now playing in select theaters!  Executive produced by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow, Heineman’s hard-hitting film explores the conflict on both sides of the U.S. and Mexico border where vigilantes in both countries are combatting the Mexican drug cartel.  Read film and score reviews below.  Cartel Land is now playing at IFC Center and at Lincoln Plaza in New York, and at Sundance Cinema in Madison, WI.  More cities to follow (find a theater).

Charlie Clouser’s Perfect ‘Wayward Pines’ Score | Soundtrack Dreams

For me hearting the sound of “Wayward Pines” is like visiting one of my favorite places in the world. Constantly to the mood it wants to set it’s a place where I feel safe and which has a lot of good memories stored. The cues that make up this score are ghosts whispering and moving around me but I welcome them and try to figure out what they are telling me. I’ve grown familiar with them and instead of fearing that thick darkness they weave I cover myself with it and explore the feelings it arises inside me. This is the music I like to reflect and remember on. This deep and ambient sound takes me over and almost hypnotizes me. –Soundtrack Dreams

The Vatican Tapes: Score By ‘Insidious’ Composer Joseph Bishara Coming Soon, Film Opens July 24

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to The Vatican Tapes, featuring score by Joseph Bishara, know for his scores on Annabelle, The Conjuring, Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 2, Insidious: Chapter 3 and many more.  Directed by Mark Neveldine (Pathology, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, Gamer) and starring Kathleen Robertson, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Peña, Dougray Scott, and Olivia Taylor Dudley, The Vatican Tapes is a Lakeshore Entertainment and Lionsgate production, premiering in theaters July 24.  More details are forthcoming.  See below for more on the film.
