Highly Anticipated ‘The Mighty Nein’ Amazon Series Score By Neal Acree Releases December 5!
Ahead of the release of The Mighty Nein (Prime Original Series Soundtrack), listen to “The Little Spark Who Became A Firestorm” by Neal Acree from the forthcoming album out December 5 on Lakeshore Records. The album contains Neal Acree’s vivid score to all of the episodes of the fourth campaign of the adult animated fantasy-adventure series based on beloved characters and stories from the world of Critical Role and Titmouse. The series, a production of Amazon MGM Studios, Critical Role and Titmouse is streaming now on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. More details below.
Notes Acree: “‘The Little Spark Who Became a Firestorm’ starts with a persistent and inevitable pulse and explodes into a fiery rage like the gut wrenching scene in The Mighty Nein 105 that it accompanies. Sometimes to truly get to the emotional heart of a scene the composer has to live inside it for a few days (or in this case for me a week). And with this scene it wasn’t easy. Of all the tragic backstories in The Mighty Nein, Caleb’s is among the darkest. It is at this point in the series that the audience might realize that there is a lot more to its characters and their pasts than previously revealed. Getting to bring these stores and characters to life has been an emotional experience to say the least. And getting to do so with a somewhat less conventional electronic palette has also been a unique but rewarding challenge.”
The Mighty Nein is an Amazon MGM Studios, Critical Role, and Titmouse production for Prime Video. The series stars Critical Role founders and cast members Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers), Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3), Marisha Ray (Fallout 76), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers). The Critical Role cast serves as executive producers alongside Tasha Huo (Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft) who also serves as showrunner, Chris Prynoski (Metalocalypse), Shannon Prynoski (Fairfax), Antonio Canobbio (Star Trek: Lower Decks), and Ben Kalina (Big Mouth).
