His early fascination with both music and cinema naturally evolved into his career as a film and television composer. To date, he has scored over one hundred feature films and series.
His recent projects include the Robin Hood series for MGM+, created by Jonathan English and John Glen for Lionsgate; the Disney+ series A Thousand Blows, written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight; and A Gentleman in Moscow, starring Ewan McGregor, created by Ben Vanstone and Sam Miller. He also composed the score for The Eternaut, a Netflix adaptation of Héctor Germán Oesterheld’s iconic graphic novel, recently nominated for the 2025 Latin Grammy for Best Music for Visual Media.
In 2022, Jusid composed the critically acclaimed score for The English (Amazon/BBC), a western starring Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer. The soundtrack earned him nominations from the IFMCA (Best Original Score for a TV Series) and the 2023 BAFTA Awards (Best Original Music: Fiction). Indiewire also named The English the Best TV Score of 2022.
Among his most celebrated works is the score for the film The Secret in Their Eyes, directed by Juan José

As a concert composer, Jusid’s repertoire includes Tango Rhapsody for two pianos and orchestra (premiered at the Martha Argerich Project and later performed worldwide, including by the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl); Kinetic Overture (premiered by the RTVE Orchestra); The Silence of Their Names (premiered by the Spanish National Orchestra); Bidaia (an accordion concerto premiered at Buenos Aires’ Teatro Colón in 2022); and Extimité, Enigmas, Finding Sarasate, Danza de Aldeanos, and La Librería del Ingenioso Hidalgo, among others. In 2024, he premiered Itinera 4.0, commissioned by the National Symphony Orchestra of Spain at Madrid’s National Music Auditorium.
Over his career, Jusid has received more than twenty international awards and nominations across both concert and screen music, including multiple International Film Music Critics Awards, Platinum Film Award nominations (Neruda, Magallanes, A Twelve-Year Night), and recognition as Composer of the Year 2016 by the Spanish Music Critics Association. His score for El verano que vivimos earned a 2021 Goya nomination, and he was named IFMCA Composer of the Year 2020. He has also been nominated for an Emmy Award (Watership Down) and a BAFTA Award (The English) and most recently, a Latin Grammy Award.
As a pianist and conductor, Jusid has performed as a soloist in some of the world’s most prestigious venues —including Carnegie Weill Hall in New York, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Israel Philharmonic Auditorium in Tel Aviv, and Madrid’s National Auditorium. From 2005 onward, he served for over a decade as resident composer and pianist of the Sonor Ensemble, touring extensively across Europe and Asia. He has also collaborated with leading orchestras such as the Argentine National Symphony, the Bratislava Symphony, the Tenerife Symphony, the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, the Paris Sinfonietta, the Galician Symphony, and the Spanish National Radio Orchestra, among others.
