EXCLUSIVE: Listen to A Cue From Nine Perfect Strangers: Season 2 By Marco Beltrami and Miles Hankins!

Ahead of the release of Nine Perfect Strangers : Season 2—Original Series Soundtrack, we have the distinct pleasure of premiering “Prepare For Arrival” from the album.  The soundtrack will be released digitally on Friday, May 23, featuring music by two-time Oscar nominated composer Marco Beltrami and Miles Hankins.  The piano, synth and strings redolent score is immediately lush and elegant, yet becoming gradually more ominous.  The Hulu Original Limited Series created by David E. Kelley and starring Nicole Kidman is streaming now.  Have a listen below and get more soundtrack details!

Notes Beltrami: “The goal of the score for season 2 was to keep a connection with some thematic elements from season 1, but yet also come up with new ideas for the new locale and characters.  Jon wanted to invoke some of the classical roots of Europe, but in a light-hearted, contemporary way that didn’t get melodramatic.  The “prepare for arrival” and “season recap” tracks on the album is the initial idea that came to mind, and were the first pieces we presented to him. As always, Miles and I and Buck Sanders had a great time collaborating on this unique and wonderful show; full of inspiration from the amazing Jonathan Levine!”

Adds Hankins: “We had a lot of fun with season 2, getting to dive further into the mystery of Masha’s backstory, and accompanying a terrific new ensemble with their own set of quirks, hidden traumas and ticking clocks.  We introduced a vocal element to the score this season, and created a new set of themes and textures which descend into a kind of musical madness as we follow these intersecting journeys down the rabbit hole.  We hope the audience will enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed creating!”
