EXCLUSIVE! Scott Bomar Drops A ‘Fight Night’ Score Track From The Peacock Original Series
Lakeshore Records is set to release Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist—Original Series Soundtrack featuring a score by Scott Bomar. The score is both an homage to the classic soundtracks from the 60’s and 70’s by Isaac Hayes and Quincy Jones as well as a muscular and menacing backdrop to the dramatic series. Starring Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle and Terence Howard, Fight Night is currently streaming on Peacock.
Ahead of the Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist soundtrack release, we are thrilled to share a track entitled, “The Girls Leave” by Scott Bomar, the Peacock series’ EMMY Award-winning composer known for Black Snake Moan, Hustle & Flow, Dolemite Is My Name, and many others. A GRAMMY-nominated artist, Bomar’s accolades also include winning the Best Original Music MidSouth EMMY Award for the short, “I Am A Man: From Memphis, A Lesson In Life” in 2010.
Fight Night (Original Series Soundtrack) is releasing digitally worldwide on Friday, November 8 on Lakeshore Records.

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist is based on the acclaimed iHeart true-crime podcast about the infamous story of how an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight changed not only one man’s life but ultimately transformed Atlanta into the “Black Mecca.” When a hustler named Chicken Man (Kevin Hart) hosts an afterparty to celebrate the fight with a guest list of the country’s wealthiest, the night ends with the most brazen criminal underworld heist in Atlanta’s history. Suspected of masterminding the crime, Chicken Man is hellbent on clearing his name but must convince his old adversary, J.D. Hudson (Don Cheadle), one of the first Black detectives in the city’s desegregated police force, who is tasked with bringing those responsible to justice.
Says Bomar: “Working on Fight Night has been a career highlight for me. It has an incredible cast and a rich narrative which captures the essence of the City of Atlanta. The action and dramatic sequences I had the opportunity to score were the type of scenes that I dream about doing.
Some of my biggest inspirations are the 1960s and 70s film scores from Issac Hayes, Quincy Jones and Bernard Hermann. With Fight Night, I was able to have some fun with those influences. This score features a lot of Moog synthesizer which really had the right feel for the show.”
