Tribeca Film ‘House of Hummingbird’ Takes Home 56th Daejong Film Awards Win!

Congratulations to the House of Hummingbird (aka Beol-sae) team on their Daejong Film Awards (Grand Bell Awards) win for Best New Director, Bora Kim!  The film also scored multiple nominations: Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress,  Best New Actress, Best Cinematography and Best Score (Matija Strniša).  The film was in good company with another Korean drama, Best Picture Academy Award® Winner, Parasite.  See the full list at HanCinema online.

Bora Kim’s critically-acclaimed House of Hummingbird film made its US debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, winning three film awards, including Best International Narrative; and at the 69th Berlinale (Berlin Film International Film Festival), the film won the “Generation 14Plus” International Jury Grand Prix.  

House of Hummingbird makes its North American theatrical premiere on Friday, June 26, 2020 via Kino Marquee.
