“Shotgun and a Duffel Bag,”… is a cut of dark synth music reminiscent of his Drive work but oh so much more tense. – Austin Trunick, Under The Radar

Mr. Pearce, who also includes “California Dreamin’” on the soundtrack, is clearly well versed in the mythology of the distasteful musical genius John Phillips, the Mamas and the Papas founder and self-proclaimed “Wolf King” of, well, you know. – Glenn Kenny, New York Times

Global Road Entertainment presents HOTEL ARTEMIS, in theaters now!

Arcadia is the new film from BAFTA award-winning Scottish director Paul Wright, with the film focused around looking into our complex connection to the land we live in. Combing through 100 film clips from the last 100 years, lifted from the BFI National Archive and regional archives around the UK, the film explores the changing seasons and the ways in which they affect our relationship with the landscapes we find ourselves in. From the earliest days of movie-making to the present day, through rare and unseen footage, we see the changing relationship the British have with their land. From images of local celebrations and festivals to agricultural practices through the seasons, village life and lost crafts.

FUTURE WORLD – [pre-order]
Score by TOYDRUM.

Readers of Film Music Daily will recall the composing duo, TOYDRUM, from their excellent Prevenge score.  And, now, get ready to hear their latest work in Future World, starring James Franco, Lucy Liu and Milla Jovovich.  More album details coming soon!

Inside a desert oasis, a queen (Lucy Liu) lays dying as her son Prince (Jeffrey Wahlberg) travels across barren waste lands to find a near-mythical medicine to save her life. After evading violent raiders on motorbikes led by the Warlord (James Franco) and his enforcer (Cliff “Method Man” Smith), Prince meets Ash (Suki Waterhouse), the Warlord’s robot sex companion-assassin who’s in search of her own soul. As Prince is captured by the Druglord (Milla Jovovich), the Warlord’s forces roar in – and Prince fights to save the remnants of humanity.

SATURDAY CHURCH – [pre-order]
Score by Nathan Larson.

Coming June 15th is the Saturday Church soundtrack, featuring score by Nathan Larson, whose substantial credits include BOYS DON’T CRY, Todd Solondz’s PALINDROMES, songs for Todd Haynes’ VELVET GOLDMINE, LILJA 4-EVER, Stephen Frears’s DIRTY PRETTY THINGS, THE MESSENGER, THE WOODSMAN. Other projects include MARGIN CALL, OUR IDIOT BROTHER, and THE SKELETON TWINS.  Stay tuned for more album details!

SATURDAY CHURCH tells the story of 14-year-old Ulysses, a shy and effeminate boy, who finds himself coping with new responsibilities as “man of the house” after the death of his father. Living alongside his mother, younger brother, and conservative aunt, Ulysses is also struggling with questions about his gender identity. He finds an escape by creating a world of fantasy filled with dance and music. Ulysses’ journey takes a turn for the better when he encounters a vibrant transgender community, who take him to “Saturday Church,” a program for LGBTQ youth. Ulysses manages to keep his two worlds apart; appeasing his aunt and discovering his passion for the NYC ball scene, and voguing, until his double life is revealed. Ulysses must find the courage to be who he truly is, all while risking losing those he cares about most.
