PODCAST: Composer Paul Oakenfold On His ‘Nobel Son’ Score, Film Stars Alan Rickman
Lakeshore Records sat down with composer Paul Oakenfold (Matrix Reloaded, Swordfish) to talk about his score for Nobel Son, starring Alan Rickman (Eye In The Sky), Bryan Greenberg, Eliza Dushku and more. Paul was asked by director Randall Miller to create an “electronic score with splashes of orchestral sounds.” He approached various music artists such as Groove Armada and The Chemical Brothers to contribute music to the soundtrack.
As a Grammy®-nominated DJ-turned composer, Paul got his start scoring on Swordfish, for which he received the BMI Film Award (2002). Listen to the interview below!
