The Ben Lovett score, which plays like a wonderfully shameless love letter to Vangelis’ Blade Runner soundtrack, is simply fantastic. – Nerdist

Adding the emotions is an impressive score by composer Ben Lovett. He and Gentry have worked together for nearly twenty years and discussed that analog retrofuture as an element they could incorporate into the score. “A lot of my favorite film scores had these analog synthesizers,” Gentry explained. Though the works of Tangerine Dream andWendy Carlos in film like SorcererLegendThe Shining and Tron all feature an unreal electronic sound, they were realized with synthesizers that still generated those tones with analog methods like vacuum tubes. It creates a different quality from the full digital synthesizers widely used today. – Bleeding Cool

I caught the film at its world premiere last summer at the Fantasia Festival in Montreal, and it was easily my favorite film that I caught at the event. – Ain’t It Cool

“The score, by Ben Lovett, is extremely groovy, and the film’s opening credits are cool and spacey in the way of an ’80s arcade game. This is a very stylish movie.” –Birth.Movies.Death

Synchronicity is The Signal‘s heir. Not only does it reunite much of the cast and crew (Bowen, Gentry, and Poythress, as well as actress Claire Bronson, producer Alexander Motlagh, co-producer Alex Ore and composer Ben Lovett) – Austin Chronicle
