Ceiri Torjussen’s ‘The Canal’ Score Now On Spotify, Supernatural Thriller Stars Hellboy’s Rupert Evans
The sound-design and editing are sharp and effectively sinister, and the visuals are the sort that might carve out a dark notch in your brain never to let go… you’re gonna find yourself inching backwards in your seat most assuredly. Oh god that hole in the wall… – The Film Experience
The Canal is a hidden gem of a film, demonstrating the type of intelligent horror audiences often say they want yet rarely pay for. – The Hollywood Outsider
Surprisingly dark and scary… Brooding, dark and scary. – Bloody Disgusting
Lakeshore Records released The Canal (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) back in 2014, featuring score by composer Ceiri Torjussen (Test, Repo Men), who is also known for his orchestrations on films like Underworld: Evolution, Hellboy, Live Free or Die Hard and many more. If you’re looking for a good thriller to dive into this weekend, start here. Starring Rupert Evans (Hellboy), Antonia Campbell-Hughes (Albert Nobbs) and Hanna Hoekstra (Hemel), this supernatural horror story is about a film archivist who sees footage revealing that his happy home was once the scene of a gruesome murder, which casts evil shadows upon his present life.
Directed by Ivan Kavanagh (Tin Can Man), THE CANAL is now available on Netflix or on iTunes Movies.
