Lakeshore Records will release LUV (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) digitally on May 26 and CD on August 14, 2015. The album features music by Nuno Malo (No God, No Master, The Celestine Prophecy). Mr. Malo’s score for LUV was nominated for Best Score for a Feature Film at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards 2012. Directed by Sheldon Candis, LUV premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize in the Dramatic competition and is currently available on DVD and On Demand (rent it on iTunes). Nuno Malo has become over the last decade one of Portugal’s most respected and busiest film composers. In 2011, Nuno was awarded Breakout Composer of the Year 2010 at the IFMCA Awards, where he was also nominated for Best Original Score for a Drama Film with his score for Amalia.
An 11-year-old boy gets a crash course in what it means to be a man when he spends a day with the uncle he idolizes in LUV, a poignant and gritty coming-of-age story featuring standout performances by Common, Danny Glover, Dennis Haysbert, Charles S. Dutton and newcomer Michael Rainey Jr.
