Congratulations goes to Director David Michôd and the The Rover team, who received seven Australian Academy of Cinema & Television Arts (AACTA) Awards nominations. The AACTA Awards are the equivalent of the Oscars® and the BAFTAs. Among the seven award nominations are:
- Best Direction – David Michôd
- Best Sound – Sam Petty, Des Kenneally, Justine Angus, Brooke Trezise, Francis Ward Lindsay and Robert Mackenzie
- Best Original Music Score – Antony Partos & Sam Petty
- Best Production Design – Jo Ford
- Best Lead Actor – Guy Pearce
- Best Supporting Actor – Robert Pattinson
- Best Supporting Actress – Susan Prior
