Jenny Lewis & Johnathan Rice Score ‘Song One’ Starring Academy Award Winner Anne Hathaway, Film Opens In Theaters & VOD On January 23 | Pitchfork

A new Anne Hathaway film is getting a score courtesy of ex-Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis and her boyfriend/collaborator Johnathan Rice. Jenny and Johnny wrote a collection of original songs for Song One, the new film produced by Jonathan Demme. Lewis and Rice also collaborated on the score alongside Bright Eyes’ Nathaniel Walcott. (Read the full review at Pitchfork.)

 

Directed by Kate Barker-Froyland, Song One stars Johnny Flynn, Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway and Academy Award winner Mary Steenburgen.  The film is set to open in theaters and on VOD on January 23.  Stay tuned for updates on the soundtrack released by Lakeshore Records.  Watch this new trailer which features music on the soundtrack:
