Halle Berry Makes The Call In ‘Extant,’ New CBS Sci-Fi Series

If you’ve been following Halle Berry‘s career, then you know her new sci-fi series on CBS, Extant, is a natural progression from her work in Cloud Atlas.  You’ll also know that Ms. Berry is no stranger to playing roles in thrillers.  Lakeshore Records released the soundtrack to The Call, a film scored by John Debney (Walk of ShameDraft Day) and stars Berry in a riveting role of a 911-dispatcher who decides to face her fears and go above and beyond her call of duty in order to save a young girl, played by Abigail Breslin (Perfect Sisters, Little Miss Sunshine).  The bone-chilling score doesn’t let you lose that sense of uneasiness until the end.

“The series, as we’ve known so far, will center on a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family, when she returns home after a year on a solo mission in space; her arrival back on earth comes with the realization that she’s carrying what is likely an alien baby (or something).”  (Read the full story at the Indie Wire blog).

Extant premieres tonight at 9/8C on CBS.
