The prestigious annual World Soundtrack Awards is around the corner, and there’s no time like the present to cast your vote on Film Composer of the Year! The World Soundtrack Awards just announced this year’s nominees for Best Film Composer, Best TV Composer and Best Original Song!  See below for the list.

Mac Quayle (The People v. O.J.: American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Mr. Robot) – Best TV Composer

Celebrating “Drive” Composer Cliff Martinez At The 14th World Soundtrack Awards Concert!

Lakeshore Records congratulates acclaimed film composer Cliff Martinez who was honored at the 14th World Soundtrack Awards Concert following the 41st Film Fest Gent in Belgium held on October 25.  His career as a composer was marked by a live performance featuring some of his most recognized scores.

Cliff has a long history with Lakeshore dating back to Wicker Park on through to his recent score for The Lincoln Lawyer as well as the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Drive which has been named one of the “40 Movie Soundtracks That Changed Alternative Music” by Spin Magazine.

“An aughties soundtrack so popular among music fanatics that multiple record companies thought it was a fine idea to drop it on vinyl? That’s that Gosling magic. Drive‘s car film noir was scored into a dreamlike state by ex-Beefheart drummer Cliff Martinez…”
