The Limits of Control (Various Artists): iTunes The Limits of Control EP: iTunes The Limits of Control (watch it on Netflix) is a story about a mysterious “lone man,” played by Isaach De Bankolé, who is in the process of completing his criminal mission.  Veteran indie filmmaker Jim Jarmusch is known for his trademark use of musicians as actors and other related elements in his films, so be on the look out for a rocker-centric vibe.

Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive (out now in select theaters) is a stylistic and humanized story about two vampire lovers.  Tom Hiddleston plays “Adam,” a depressed musician who reunites with his lover, “Eve,” played by Tilda Swinton.  Their idyllic time together is threatened by Eve’s wild younger sister, played by Mia Wasikowska (The Kids Are All Right).  Only Lovers received the prestigious Palme D’Or nomination at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.  A musician himself, Jarmusch’s band, SQÜRL, opens the film with its Wanda Jackson cover, Funnel of Love.
