3D Scifi Fantasy Film ‘Zhong Kui: Snow Girl And The Dark Crystal’ In Limited Release Moves Up Domestic iTunes Chart

 

Last week, we announced that the Peter Pau and Zhao Tianyu-directed epic scifi film Zhong Kui is now playing in limited release in North America.  Opening to 24 theaters in the US, the soundtrack scored by acclaimed composer Javier Navarrete stakes a claim on the iTunes Top Soundtracks Best Sellers list!

Zhong Kui: Snow Girl And The Dark Crystal Score By Academy Award Nominated Composer Javier Navarrete Coming Soon Via Lakeshore Records, Film Makes International Premiere On 2/19

Acclaimed Composer Javier Navarrete’s Score To Zhong Kui: Snow Girl And the Dark Crystal Will Be Released By Lakeshore Records, The Chinese Epic Makes Its International Premiere On February 19

 

Lakeshore Records will release the score to Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal, featuring the score by Academy Award nominee and Emmy winner Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth, Mirrors, Wrath of the Titans).  The film stars Chen Kun, Li Bingbing (as a snow demon), Winston Chow, Bao bei-Er and Voice of China contestant Summer Jike.  Executive produced by Ann An and Peter Pau (who was cinematographer on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Pau serves as special effects supervisor and director of photography on the film.  The 3-D fantasy film is in limited release and set to make its international premiere on February 19.  Stay tuned for further details on the soundtrack released by Lakeshore Records!

Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal is based on the mythological figure Zhong Kui, a ghost assigned with capturing wayward spirits and keeping order in the afterlife.

 

Directed by Peter Paul and Zhao Tianyu [Deadly Delicious (2007) and The Law of Attraction (2011)], Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal makes its international theatrical premiere on February 19.
