Netflix’s ‘Passing’ Receives Two Indie Spirit Awards Nominations!

One of Netflix’s most buzzed about film releases of 2021 is Rebecca Hall’s Passing, a black and white period drama starring Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga and André Holland.  The film has received two Film Independent Spirit Awards nominations: Best Supporting Actress (Ruth Negga) and Best Cinematography (Edu Grau)!  To date, the film has won 23 awards and 120 nominations including four BAFTA Film Award nominations!  View the full list of nominees at Film Independent online.

The 37th annual Film Independent Awards ceremony, set to return in-person to the beach at Santa Monica on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Lakeshore Records has released the soundtrack to Passing, featuring score by producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter and vocalist Devonte Hynes (aka Blood Orange).   Listen to the title track below, which originally made its world premiere on Pitchfork.  Keep reading for full album details.  

Directed and written by Rebecca Hall, Netflix Film Passing stars Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga, André Holland, Bill Camp, Alexander Skarsgard and more. Passing is in select theaters now and on Netflix November 10.
