In this edition, we take this time to appreciate Little Miss Sunshine, featuring one of our favorite on-screen moms, Toni Collette! The album earned Mychael Danna and DeVotchKa GRAMMY® nominations, plus two Academy Award® wins for the film.

When Art Director John Bergin explained the process of making the magical Lyric Video for the Swiss Army Man soundtrack, it was both seemingly simple and ingenious at the same time. Well, not that simple… you just have to watch to find out. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

When describing Swiss Army Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), so many emotions come into play. Andy Hull and Robert McDowell’s score was the soundtrack of the summer in 2016, the #1 ranked album at Paste Magazine, and now, the love has not grown weary. SlashFilm, Cut Print Film and IGN writers/editors weighed in on Twitter. Admit it: you still hear “pop-popcorn-pop-popcorn” in your head.
The soundtrack to Swiss Army Man loves all the things I love—farts, Animal Collective, wordless choruses, the song ‘Wordless Chorus” by My Morning Jacket—because it loves me too, as much as it loves familiar pop movie tropes, which I also love, like montages and nostalgia and grand demonstrations of melodrama and high concepts that are somehow carried through against all logical odds. – Dom Sinacola, Paste
The Swiss Army Man soundtrack is #1 on Paste Magazine’s 15 Movie Scores of 2016 list! Full list at Paste. The score by Andy Hull and Robert McDowell became an instant classic, as well as the film, directed by The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert). The film, is an Indie Spirit Award nominee — the awards will take place February 25 on IFC at 2 PT/5 ET — and one of those movies that really stood out last year with unforgettable performances by Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe. We are so proud of the much deserved recognition bestowed on our partners A24 Studios/Swiss Army Man, The Daniels, and Andy and Robert – congrats!
