 If you did not have a chance to see Alex Garland’s critically-acclaimed Annihilation film in theaters, the much-talked about sci-fi movie starring Natalie Portman is now available on Digital (get it on iTunes)!  The composers of the film, Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow, recently announced the forthcoming release of the vinyl album, as well as a CD, so stay tuned for that as well!

So if you are looking to find a score that sounds like the scores used to sound like, you can’t go much wrong with Yared’s The Promise which to my account might be one of the best scores he’s ever composed. – Soundtrack Dreams

Chris Cornell Performs The Title Song To ‘The Promise’ Film, In Theaters Now (Watch) | CBS This Morning

The Promise (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - Gabriel Yared

Chris Cornell, multi-Grammy Award®-winning and Golden Globe®nominated singer/songwriter contributed the title song to The Promise film, directed by Terry George (Hotel Rwanda).  The song, “The Promise” is out now on The Promise (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) via Lakeshore Records.  You can hear him sing the song live on CBS This Morning (see video below).  

The Promise is scored by Academy Award®-winning composer Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, A Royal Affair).  Also on the album is an exclusive version of the Armenian folk song “Sari Siroun Yar” by Grammy Award®-Winner Serj Tankian performing with the Authentic Light Orchestra (feat.
