“Ava DuVernay’s ‘Origin’ is a masterpiece” – Clayton Davis, Variety

Watch the trailer for Ava DuVernay’s highly-anticipated film, Origin, Inspired by the New York Times best seller Caste: The Origins Of Our Discontents. The Oscar^® contender film stars Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor (King Richard), Jon Bernthal (The Many Saints of Newark), Vera Farmiga (“When They See Us”), Audra McDonald (“The Good Fight”), Niecy Nash-Betts (“Monster: The Jeffrey Dalmer Story”), Nick Offerman (“The Last of Us“), and Blair Underwood (“American Crime Story”).

The film made its world premiere at Venice International Film Festival, earning a Best Film Golden Lion award nomination for Ava DuVernay at the festival. And, it was recently announced that the film’s Aunjenue Ellis-Taylor received an Outstanding Lead Performance nomination at the Gotham Awards!

NEON presents Origin, written and directed by Ava DuVernay, in theaters January 19, 2024.

Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry Soundtrack | Lakeshore Records

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry, digitally on September 1. The album features score by Kerry Muzzey, (Hole in the Paper Sky, To Russia With Love). You may know Kerry’s work from a quiet little piano piece called “Looking Back” that found its way into the hit TV series “GLEE” as a recurring love theme for the show’s two most beloved couples, Rachel & Finn and Will & Emma. Kerry’s music also found its way to #1 on the iTunes and Amazon charts after his pieces “Architect of the Mind” and “Bernini’s Angels” were choreographed and performed on the show “So You Think You Can Dance.” More soundtrack details are coming soon!

Directed by Laura Dunn and Jef Sewell, executive-produced by Robert Redford and Terrence Malick and produced by Nick Offerman, Look & See premiered at South by Southwest in 2016 and then did a featured run at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival as part of the festival’s new Spotlight series.
