NPR Premieres Benjamin Gibbard’s New Album Just Weeks Shy Of Death Cab For Cutie’s North American Tour
Laggies composer Benjamin Gibbard and his band, Death Cab For Cutie, are about to embark on a North American tour next month, but not before giving all the fans get a first listen to DCFC’s new album, Kintsugi.
Gibbard has also released a solo album “Former Lives,” saw his electro-pop project the Postal Service return for a one-off tour, and contributed score work for the feature film “Laggies” and the documentary “Kurt Cobain: About A Son. Read the full story at LA Times.

If the Foo Fighters want you to show up somewhere, you just do it,” Ben Gibbard tells Rolling Stone. So when Dave Grohl reached out to the Death Cab For Cutie frontman to ask if he’d participate in the Foos’ HBO documentary series Sonic Highways, Gibbard didn’t hesitate.
Laggies composer Benjamin Gibbard is no stranger to contributing to films. Before scoring on Laggies — the new coming of age comedy starring Keira Knightley, Chloë Grace Moretz and Sam Rockwell — Benjamin Gibbard scored the Kurt Cobain documentary (with Steve Fisk),Kurt Cobain About A Son (2006). Directed by Lynn Shelton, Laggies the film is out now nationwide (check show times).
