The acclaimed film earned over 33 awards, including The Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, Best First Feature at the Indie Spirit Awards, Un Certain Regard Avenir Prize at Cannes, and Outstanding Original Song at the Black Reel Awards for “Waiting For My Moment”.
