In this edition of Throwback Thursday, we revisit Academy Award® nominee John Debney’s score for Draft Day, starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner.  This Ivan Reitman film charted to #1 on iTunes movies upon its On Demand release, and John’s score was “Editor’s Pick” in Film Music Magazine!  Watch our interview with John (below), who talks about his scoring process on this inspirational film.

‘The Age Of Adaline’: Film Charts Top 5 on iTunes Movies! Must See.

The Age Of Adaline starring Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker with Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn rocketed back up the iTunes Movies chart over Thanksgiving weekend as the “Movie of The Week.”  Currently holding at #3, the film is sure to be a best bet for your holiday Blu-ray/DVD gift list.  Since its theatrical release earlier this year, legions of movie fans (including Lana Del Ray!) have fallen for Adaline.  Rent The Age Of Adaline at iTunes Movies or own the movie on Blu-ray/DVD.

An Interview With Academy Award Nominee Mark Isham, Composer Of ‘Warrior’ (Audio)

In 2011, Lakeshore Records sat down with Mark Isham on his score for Warrior (rent the movie on iTunes), directed by Gavin O’Connor (Pride and Glory, Tumbleweeds).  Warrior is a 2011 sport-drama starring Tom Hardy (Child 44, Mad Max: Fury Road, Inception), Joel Edgerton (Black Mass, The Great Gatsby, Zero Dark Thirty), Jennifer Morrison (ABC’s “Once Upon A Time”, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Fox’s “HOUSE, M.D.”) and three-time Academy Award® nominee Nick Nolte (A Walk In The Woods, Gangster Squad, Tropic Thunder).  Mark is an Academy Award®-nominated composer (his nomination was for A River Runs Through It).  Hear him break down his approach to scoring for WARRIOR: from action shots to the characters’ emotions.  Hear the interview below.

She’s Funny That Way: Score By Ed Shearmur Coming Soon, Peter Bogdanovich Film Opens In Theaters & On Demand 8/21

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to She’s Funny That Way, starring Owen Wilson (You, Me and Dupree), Imogen Poots (Need For Speed), Kathryn Hahn (The D Train), Will Forte (MacGruber), with Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill), and Jennifer Aniston (Marley & Me).  The album features score by Ed Shearmur (Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Miss Congeniality).  She’s Funny That Way opens in theaters and On Demand on August 21.  Stay tuned for more soundtrack details.
