Academy Award Nominated ‘ROOM’ Movie Receives Two Indie Spirit Awards!

Lakeshore Records congratulates Brie Larson on her Best Female Lead win and Emily Donoghue on her Best First Screenplay win for Room (A24) at the Indie Spirit Awards!  ROOM movie is also nominated for four Academy Awards.  Lakeshore Records is proud to have released the soundtrack to ROOM, featuring the acclaimed score by Stephen Rennicks!

Room’s Brie Larson Wins Leading Actress Award At The BAFTA Film Awards!

Lakeshore Records congratulates Brie Larson on her Leading Actress win for ROOM at the 69th British Film Academy Awards – The BAFTAs!  ROOM is also a Golden Globe®- and Academy Awards®-nominated film which features score by Stephen Rennicks — proudly released by Lakeshore Records!

Director Lenny Abrahamson accepted the award on her behalf at the EE British Film Academy Awards ceremony, which was held at the Royal Opera House in London on February 14.  Read the full list at BAFTA.org.

The score begins to grow darker and more complex as Ma plots their escape. Once outside “Room,” it reflects her difficulty adjusting to the outside world (with manipulated piano and lonely woodwinds). The ROOM soundtrack features score by Stephen Rennicks and the track, “Big Rock Candy Mountain” sung by Brie Larson.  Room, directed by Lenny Abrahamson, opened to acclaim at Telluride and Toronto International Film Festival.  At Telluride, the film had “audiences on their feet applauding through tears.” (New York Times)  Own or stream Room (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) now.
