‘Annihilation’: Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow Score Review | Brooklyn Vegan

The film gets pretty freaky in its last third, and Salisbury and Barrow’s score matches its intensity. A four note section of “The Alien” (which is used prominently in the trailer) has taken on a life of its own. – Brooklyn Vegan

Hear ‘The Alien’ From ‘Annihilation’ Now, Score by Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury (Ex-Machina)!

Lakeshore Records and Invada Records will co-release Annihilation (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring a score by Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow, worldwide. The composing partners have once again joined forces with writer and director Alex Garland (28 Days Later), for the filmmaker’s upcoming film from Paramount Pictures and Skydance, starring Natalie Portman and produced by Scott Rudin, Andrew MacDonald, Allon Reich, and Eli Bush. Their score for Garland’s Oscar®-nominated Ex Machina gained two World Soundtrack Awards nominations and was the 2016 Ivor Novello Award Winner for Best Original Score.  See the track list below.

The soundtrack will be released digitally in North America by Lakeshore Records and in the UK/Europe by Invada Records February 23 with CD and vinyl editions forthcoming.  Listen to the debut track, “The Alien” here:

Anomalisa Soundtrack: Carter Burwell’s Score Gets The Mondo Vinyl Treatment | IndieWire

Carter Burwell’s acclaimed score to Anomalisa, the Academy Award®-nominated stop-motion film is getting an inspired vinyl release from Mondo in partnership with Lakeshore Records!  The award-winning film directed by Duke Johnson and Charlie Kaufman was in production for over two years, featuring multiple 3-D printed copies of each character in the movie.  In the spirit of the film, the limited edition vinyl pressing of 1,000 copies is being offered this summer featuring a 3-D replica of Michael’s hotel room.  Check out the album reveal and more exclusive details at IndieWire.
