The Lure movie premiered in the U.S. last year at the Sundance Film Festival and has won several Best Film awards at film festivals since, including The Special Jury Prize at Fantasia Film Fest and the Fantastic Spirit Award at the Austin Fantastic Festival.  The genre-bending film will be a part of the prestigious The Criterion Collection Blu-ray/DVD release coming out on October 10.

Complete with a suitably erratic score.. Jon Nguyen’s carefully-calibrated ode to Lynch is in itself Lynchian. – Screen Daily

The Art Life’s’ own construction is colored by an understanding of Lynch’s aesthetic, from the serenely brooding, grainy textures of Jason S.’s camerawork to the thrumming, Badalamenti-channeling menace of Jonatan Bengta’s score, which moves from swarming synths to sparse, dripping-tap keyboard plinks. Indeed, if the pic’s soundscape leaves some viewers in a ‘Twin Peaks’ reverie, that may not be entirely accidental. – Variety

There are no signposts to Lynch’s work, just the incessant drone of Lynch, set to an original score that proves similarly hypnotic. – Little White Lies
