Interview: The Music of The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Score by Emile Mosseri | Pitchfork

It’s been said The Last Black Man in San Francisco is a love story to a city and a love story between a man and a house. Whichever way you interpret it, the folks at Pitchfork are in love with Emile Mosseri’s film score. Check out their interview with the film’s director, Joe Talbot now at Pitchfork!

Talbot talks about how he and Jimmie Fails (who also stars in the film) met as kids in San Francisco and his long-time “obsession” with music. “Music is the only thing that I think I love more than movies,” said Talbot.

If you haven’t had a chance to see A24’s The Last Black Man in San Francisco, the film is now playing in additional theaters near you as of last weekend.
