Guns Akimbo—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack featuring music by Enis Rotthoff (Wetlands, The White Orchid) is out digitally via Music.Film and Varese Sarabande! Rotthoff’s electronic score provides a wildly energized backdrop to the hilariously dark and violent action comedy.
Says Rotthoff: “Working on this film has truly been a unique experience for me. It’s almost as if my 15-year-old self, growing up in the 80s and 90s, had time travelled to 2019 to help me realize this score.”
Starring Daniel Radcliffe (Swiss Army Man), the film is now playing in US theaters (get tickets). See album listening links and the movie trailer below.
Fans compelled us to reveal how the popular and amazing “Montage” Lyric Video was made. Was it invisible ink? Was it stop-motion? When Art Director John Bergin explained the process of making the magical Lyric Video for the Swiss Army Man soundtrack, it was both seemingly simple and ingenious at the same time. Well, not that simple… you just have to watch to find out. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

When describing Swiss Army Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), so many emotions come into play. Andy Hull and Robert McDowell’s score was the soundtrack of the summer in 2016, the #1 ranked album at Paste Magazine, and now, the love has not grown weary. SlashFilm, Cut Print Film and IGN writers/editors weighed in on Twitter. Admit it: you still hear “pop-popcorn-pop-popcorn” in your head.
The soundtrack to Swiss Army Man loves all the things I love—farts, Animal Collective, wordless choruses, the song ‘Wordless Chorus” by My Morning Jacket—because it loves me too, as much as it loves familiar pop movie tropes, which I also love, like montages and nostalgia and grand demonstrations of melodrama and high concepts that are somehow carried through against all logical odds. – Dom Sinacola, Paste
