GRAMMYs 2022: Kris Bowers Secures Best Score Nomination For Bridgerton!

Congratulations go out to Kris Bowers on his Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media GRAMMY nomination for Bridgerton, the Shondaland/Netflix hit series!  This is his first Best Score GRAMMY nomination.  Previously, Kris also earned a GRAMMY nom for Best Arrangement in 2020 for “Blue Skies.”

Academy Award winner Hildur Guðnadóttir, Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell, and Academy Award Nominee Kris Bowers headline LA Phil’s upcoming series, Reel Change: The New Era of Film Music

This exciting new program celebrates the evolution of modern film music with performances by Hildur Guðnadóttir, whose live performance will include music from her recent release Battlefield 2042  (Lakeshore Records) on November 19; Kris Bowers (November 20); and Nicholas Britell (November 21).  Get your tickets and more details at LA Phil online.

Join 2021 EMMY-nominated composers Michael Abels (“Allen v. Farrow”), Kathryn Bostic (the forthcoming Amy Tan: Unintended Memoir), Kris Bowers (“Bridgerton”), and Mark Crawford  (The Social Dilemma) in conversation live on YouTube this Thursday, August 19 (6:30 PM PT)!  Presented by Lakeshore Records and The Society of Composers & Lyricists (The SCL), the panel discussion will be moderated by film music journalist Tim Greiving.

The Gold Derby’s ‘Meet the BTL Experts’: Join EMMY Nominees Michael Abels, Kris Bowers and More (August 2)

Join EMMY Nominees Michael Abels (HBO’s “Allen v. Farrow), Kris Bowers (Netflix/Shondaland’s “Bridgerton“) for The Gold Derby’s “Meet the BTL Experts” Q&A event!  Each person will participate in two video discussions to premiere on Monday, August 2, at 5:00 p.m. PT; 8:00 p.m. ET.  RSVP now at The Gold Derby online.
