Composer Clint Mansell Plays Los Angeles!

Clint Mansell, Grammy®- and Golden Globe®-nominated composer of such films as Pi, Requiem For A Dream, Moon, Black Swan and his current release High Rise is currently on tour.  He will perform in Los Angeles at the Ace Hotel in downtown, Los Angeles! Clint’s scores on Lakeshore Records include Smokin’ Aces, Faster, and Definitely Maybe – you can preview them below!

‘Journey To Mecca’ Score By Grammy Nominee Michael Brook Is Out Now, IMAX Film Now On DVD!

I think my favorite cue from this album is “The offer”. Something about the minimalistic yet poignant way it sounds make me want to listen to it over and over again. This is just the tip of a score as beautiful as a sunset in the desert. The documentary is about a pilgrimage and the music is as thoughtful and meaningful as that journey 700 years ago. I loved this score. – Soundtrack Dreams

 

Lakeshore Records will release the Journey To Mecca (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) digitally on March 18 and on CD April 8, 2016.  The album features the film’s original score by Michael Brook, Canadian Golden Globe®- and Grammy®-nominated composer known for scoring such films as Academy Award® nominated films Brooklyn and Into The Wild.  Read further for album track listings and more.

Throwback Thursday: Revisiting ‘In Bruges’ Starring Colin Farrell, Score By Academy Award Nominee Carter Burwell!

The best films waste no time, and In Bruges hits the ground sprinting with this pin-sharp voiceover: “After I’d killed him, I dropped the gun in the Thames, washed the residue off my hands in the bathroom of a Burger King, and walked home to await instructions.” – The Guardian

 

For this Throwback Thursday, we revisit In Bruges, starring Irish actor Colin Farrell (who won a Golden Globe® for his performance in this film), Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes, Clemence Poesy, Jeremy Renier, Thekla Reuten and Jordan Prentice.  The film is scored by Academy Award® nominee Carter Burwell (Anomalisa, Carol, Mr. Holmes) and directed by Academy Award® winner Martin McDonagh.  Watch our interview with Carter (below), who talks about scoring In Bruges movie (rent it on iTunes).
