Critics’ Choice 2020: ‘Marriage Story’, ‘The Morning Show’, ‘When They See Us’ + ‘BoJack Horseman’ Win Awards!

2020 Critics' Choice Award Winners | Lakeshore Records

Four Lakeshore Records soundtrack partners took home five Critics’ Choice Awards Sunday night! In the movies category, Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story took home a win for Best Supporting Actress (Laura Dern), and in television, Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show“ took home Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Billy Crudup), Netflix’s “When They See Us” Limited Series took home two awards with Best Limited Series and Best Actor In A Limited Series or Movie Made For Television (Jharrel Jerome); and last but not least, Netflix’s fan-favorite “BoJack Horseman” took home Best Animated Series! Society of Composers & Lyricists: Kathryn Bostic Wins Best Score For Independent Film, ‘Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am’!

Lakeshore Records congratulates Kathryn Bostic on her Outstanding Original Score For An Independent Film win at last night’s Society of Composers & Lyricists ceremony in Los Angeles.  Her score to the documentary, Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am, has been getting a lot of attention, especially as her song, “High Above The Water” from the album (out on Lakeshore Records) is on the Oscars shortlist.  Join us in celebrating her success!

‘I Lost My Body’ Earns Three Lumiere Awards Nominations Including Best Director And Score!

The Lumiere Awards — described as France’s equivalent to the Golden Globe Awards — has for the first time nominated the director of an animated film in the main category, with Jeremy Clapin getting a Best Director nod for I Lost My Body.  The critically-acclaimed film has also received nominations for Best Score (Dan Levy) and Best Animated Film!  See the full list at Hollywood Reporter. BAFTA Awards 2020: Marriage Story, American Factory, Booksmart, Diego Maradona Receive Nominations!

Lakeshore Records congratulations soundtrack partners on eight  EE British Academy Film Awards nominations!  Marriage Story (Netflix) received 5 nominations, and American Factory (Netflix/Higher Ground), Booksmart (Annapurna Pictures) and Diego Maradona (HBO) each received a nomination.  See the detailed nominations below.

We also congratulate EE Rising Star Award nominees Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) and Kelvin Harris, Jr. (Luce) on their recognition! This is the only award voted on by the public (UK residents only).  Vote now at EE online.  Deadline: January 31, 2020.

The EE British Academy Film Awards, which recognizes the very best in film of the past year, will take place on Sunday, February 2 at the Royal Albert Hall, London.  The ceremony will be hosted by Graham Norton and will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD in the UK and in all major territories around the world.  See the full list at BAFTA online.  Congratulations to all the nominees this year!

Golden Globe Awards 2020: ‘Marriage Story’ and ‘Missing Link’ Win Awards!

Lakeshore Records congratulates soundtrack partners on their Golden Globe Awards wins!  Marriage Story (Netflix) won Best Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture (Laura Dern), and Missing Link (Annapurna Pictures/Laika Studios) won the Best Motion Picture award in the Animated category!  The awards were handed out at the annual ceremony on Sunday, January 5 and telecast on CBS.  Congratulations to all the winners and nominees this year!
