World Soundtrack Awards 2021: Nicholas Britell Secures Television Composer of the Year Nomination!

Lakeshore Records congratulates EMMY-winning composer Nicholas Britell (“Succession”) on his World Soundtrack Awards (WSA) “Television Composer of the Year” nomination for his work on “The Underground Railroad (Amazon Studios)!  See links below to listen to the Top 10 iTunes Soundtrack and read critics’ reviews.

In addition to this nomination, Nicholas also has an EMMY nomination for Outstanding Music Composition For A Limited Or Anthology Series, Movie Or Special (Original Dramatic Score) for “The Underground Railroad!”  The series directed by Academy Award Winner Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) received seven EMMY nominations in all!

The Ivors 2021: Geoff Barrow, Ben Salisbury & The Insects, Anne Nikitin Nab Best Score Nominations!

The prestigious 2021 Ivor Novello Awards are upon us!  Lakeshore Records congratulates composers Geoff Barrow, Ben Salisbury & The Insects on their Best Television Soundtrack nomination for “Devs(FX on Hulu), and Anne Nikitin on her Best Original Film Score for her score to Four Kids and It (Lionsgate)!  See our previous announcements on the “Devsand Four Kids and It soundtracks.

WSA 2021 Public Choice Awards Longlist

Here’s your chance to help your favorite composers land a World Soundtrack Awards “Public Choice Award” nomination!  This year, 10 of Lakeshore Records partners have found themselves long-listed for this year’s Public Choice Awards, and you have the power to get them nominated.  Only five nominees will be announced in September.  Head over to the World Soundtrack Awards website and cast your vote (voting ends August 15).  Will you vote for Peter Baert (The Water Man), Kris Bowers (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), Tara Busch (Jakob’s Wife), John Debney (Come Away, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey), Abel Korzeniowski (The Courier), Clint Mansell (Rebecca), Benji Merrison (SAS: Red Notice), Johan Söderqvist (The Last Vermeer), or Amelia Warner (Wild Mountain Thyme)?
