Wednesday: Danny Elfman and Chris Bacon Release Their Highly-Anticipated Score To Tim Burton’s Netflix Series!

 

Just in time for the holidays: Lakeshore Records has released Wednesday—Original Series Soundtrack featuring a darkly manic and coolly evocative orchestral score by the iconic team of Danny Elfman (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Chris Bacon (“Bates Motel“).  Keep reading for additional album details and listening links!

The series is created, executive produced and written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, from director and executive producer Tim Burton, and stars Jenna Ortega Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa, and Moosa Mostafa, with guest stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán and Fred Armisen.

Wednesday premieres November 23, 2022 globally on Netflix.

Coming Soon: Florian Zeller’s Awards Contender ‘The Son’ Features Hans Zimmer Score, Opens In Theaters November 25

Academy Award® and BAFTA-winning director Florian Zeller (The Father) is set to release his forthcoming family drama, The Son, starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Zen McGrath, and Anthony Hopkins. Nominated for eight awards including Best Film at the Venice Film Festival, The Son is based on Zeller’s 2018 stage play of the same name.

Coming Soon: Aerial War Epic ‘Devotion’ Movie Starring Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell Opens In Theaters November 23!

Devotion the movie is based on the true story of black fighter pilot Jesse Brown (played by Jonathan Majors) who enlisted in the US Navy to assist in our country’s war effort in World War II.  Directed by J.D. Dillard (SweetheartSleight), the film also stars Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Hidden Figures).  You may know Jonathan Majors from his breakout performance in The Last Black Man in San Francisco, “Lovecraft Country” and The Harder They Fall.  Watch the trailer below.

Ralphie is back!  A Christmas Story Christmas, the long-awaited follow up to the holiday classic, A Christmas Story, is coming to HBO Max on November 17!  Watch the trailer below.  Double points if you can already quote from the original film!

A Christmas Story Christmas is directed by Clay Katy’s (Tangled, Bolt) and stars Peter Billingsley, who returns to his iconic role as Ralphie Parker; the film also features score by Jeff Morrow (Jumanji: The Next LevelScience Fair).

We triple dog dare you to join in on the fun. Ralphie returns in the trailer for #AChristmasStoryChristmas – streaming on HBO Max November 17. From Warner Bros. Pictures and HBO Max comes the family comedy “A Christmas Story Christmas,” the long-awaited follow-up to annual holiday favorite, “A Christmas Story.” This time, Ralphie is all grown up and must deal with Christmas and all that comes with it…as a dad. Peter Billingsley returns to the role that has made kids of all ages anticipate Christmas morning like no other.

Starring alongside Billingsley as Ralphie Parker are Erinn Hayes (“Bill & Ted Face the Music”) as Ralphie’s wife, Sandy; Julianna Layne (“Prodigal Son”) as their daughter, Julie; River Drosche (“Miracle Workers”) as son Mark; Scott Schwartz returning as Flick; RD Robb returning as Schwartz; Ian Petrella reprising his role as Ralphie’s brother, Randy; Davis Murphy (“Looking for Dr. Love”) as Delbert Bumpus; with Zack Ward returning as Scut Farkus; and Julie Hagerty (“Instant Family”) as Ralphie’s mom, Mrs. Parker.

Clay Kaytis (“The Christmas Chronicles”) directed from a screenplay by Nick Schenk (“Cry Macho”) and Kaytis, screen story by Schenk and Billingsley, based upon the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd. The film’s producers are Irwin Zwilling, Marc Toberoff, Cale Boyter, Jay Ashenfelter, Billingsley and Vince Vaughn, with Mike Drake, Schenk and Peter Dodd serving as executive producers.

Kaytis’s team behind the camera includes director of photography Matthew Clark (“Pitch Perfect 3,” “Mixtape”), production designer Rusty Smith (“Get Out,” “Life of the Party”), editor David Walsh Heinz (“The Call of the Wild”) and costume designer Shay Cunliffe (“Book Club,” “A Dog’s Purpose”). The music is by composer Jeff Morrow.
