Stylish Crime Series ‘Tokyo Vice’ Premiere April 7 on HBO Max (Trailer)

Coming April 7, 2022 to HBO Max is the highly-anticipated crime series, Tokyo Vice, starring Ken Watanabe and Ansel Elgort. Based on the 2009 memoir by Jake Adelstein, who spent 12 years as the only American reporter admitted to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Press Club.  The series chronicles Adelstein’s first-hand experiences investigating the criminal underbelly of a neon-soaked Tokyo from the nineties to the early aughts.  The series features score by EMMY®-nominated co-composers Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans (“Ozark”, The Lodge, The White Tiger).  Watch the trailer below.

 

 

Based on Jake Adelstein’s non-fiction first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, starring Ken Watanabe. The drama captures Adelstein’s daily descent into the neon-soaked underbelly of Tokyo, where nothing and no one is truly what or who they seem. Streaming April 7 on HBO Max.
