Servant: Season 3 – Saleka Drops ‘One More Night’ Ahead of Upcoming ‘Songs From The Attic’ Album

“Saleka’s music can be described a few different ways — silky smooth, melodically imaginative, and lyrically hypnotic” – Consequence of Sound

Lakeshore Records has released “One More Night,” a track by  up-and-coming Philadelphia-based R&B singer-songwriter Saleka, which appears in the latest episode of the third season of “Servant,” the Apple Original Series from M. Night Shyamalan.  Saleka’s music is key to setting a “what’s going to happen next” tone to this psychological thriller. The song will appear on a forthcoming EP, Songs From The Attic on March 25.  You can pre-order the full EP today in the link below.

Listen to “One More Night”:

Notes Saleka: “One More Night” is a song about giving in to desire and accepting the simultaneous beauty and pain of it. Indulging in something you know might not be good for you, but you can’t let go. In “Servant” this song becomes a source of artistic expression for the character Leanne as she is discovering her power and learning to embrace it. She is recognizing the oppressive forces of her past and present, letting herself feel that heartbreak and anger, and using it to manifest the things she wants. When she dances to this song, it is an intimate celebration of her growing strength, and a turning point of physical and emotional liberation.”

ABOUT SALEKA
In September 2021, Saleka released her debut single “Clarity” to immediate acclaim. Refinery29 said Saleka “calls upon the sounds of the R&B greats for her soulful debut, sounding every bit like the legends that she’s closely studied for years.” In December, she released “Mr. Incredible,” a moving single about coping with a partner’s unwillingness to communicate. “The soulful chorus neatly subverts the Disney/Pixar character’s tagline, and positions Saleka as an R&B talent to watch in 2021,” Billboard wrote of the track. “Saleka’s distinct R&B sensibility and musician’s ear for keys changes come through in droves on this track,” V Magazine added.

In February, Saleka released “Graffiti,” a single Vogue called “potent” and “powerful.” Shortly after, she shared “The Sky Cries” which was utilized in Apple TV’s show SERVANT. M. Night Shyamalan, who is executive producer of the show, also directed the video for “The Sky Cries” which was premiered by Rolling Stone. In July, she released “Remain,” which came as part of the soundtrack to the Universal Pictures film Old. Most recently, Saleka shared her powerful protest song, “How Many,” and announced that her full-length debut album is due out next year. Stay tuned for more on this must-hear new artist in the coming months.
