It’s hard to deny that Blanchett was the right genius for the role of Bernadette Fox, the central character in this delightful and eccentric adaptation of Maria Semple’s 2012 novel. – NPR

This weekend, see Where’d You Go, Bernadette in theaters near you! Fans of five-time Academy Award®-nominated Director Richard Linklater can’t afford to miss this film, starring Cate Blanchett as the title character.  Bernadette film also reunites Linklater with long-time collaborator Graham Reynolds, who is known for his scores to Before Midnight, A Scanner Darkly, Bernie and more.  Curious?  Keep reading for more.

Although Blanchett’s performance seems a bit mannered and slightly reminiscent of her Oscar-winning performance in “Blue Jasmine,” these are hardly flaws when the outcome is so riveting. Wiig beautifully toes a difficult line between drama and comedy. It’s a line similar to the one etched by this film: an emotional crisis mixed with laughs. – Austin Chronicle
