Ben Wheatley has struck gold yet again – The Mirror

While the new Ben Wheatley film Happy New Year, Colin Burstead does not feature much bloodshed (actually none at all), you might get faked out upon seeing that Free Fire Sam Riley is amongst its cast members. The film has yet a U.S. release date, but lucky cinemaphiles will get to see a screening and Q&A with Director Ben Wheatley at the Queen’s Film Theatre on December 2, ahead of its Christmas Day television premiere on BBC Two. Colin Burstead just received nominations for Best Editing at this year’s British Independent Film Awards and Best Film at the London Film Festival!
The film based around an awkward family gathering of the Bursteads stars Neil Maskell (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, “Humans“) as Colin, Charles Dance (Underworld: Blood Wars, “Childhood’s End”) in a must-watch role, and more. Book tickets at Queen’s Film Theatre online.
Happy New Year, Colin Burstead features score by Composer Clint Mansell, who collaborated with Wheatley on High-Rise.
