‘Black Mirror: Arkangel’: Mark Isham’s Score Is An August Soundtrack Pick! | Film Music Magazine

Isham takes an eerie approach that recalls his murderously suspenseful tones for “Kiss the Girls” and “Don’t Say a Word,” with the attacker being good intentions, and the victim privacy. – Daniel Schweiger, Film Music Magazine

Film Music Magazine selects Mark Isham’s Black Mirror: Arkangel score for their August Soundtrack Picks! Mark, who has been recognized for just about every award, produced scores for Hollywood’s most diverse film and TV productions, earning an Academy Award® nomination for Best Original Score for Oscar® Winner A River Runs Through It.  And, with scores to the critically-acclaimed Nell (starring Jodie Foster), Academy Award®-nominated Reservation Road movie, to the recent the TV score to fairy tale-centric “Once Upon A Time” series, as well as the Lakeshore action film score to Mechanic: Resurrection, what can’t the versatile composer do?  In the tech-horror Black Mirror episode, “Arkangel,” Isham provides a haunting, cinematic score to this near future (or near present) story about the potential horrors of helicopter parenting.

We hope you’re just as enraptured by his piano cues like “A Day at the Park,” “Hide and Seek” and “Time Passing I” as we are!  Check out Daniel Schweiger’s full review at Film Music Magazine for more on Arkangel!

BLACK MIRROR: ARKANGEL, directed by Jodie Foster, is now streaming on Netflix.
