The Rise of The Synths Companion Album: Academy Award Winner Giorgio Moroder & Raney Shockne Join The Lineup!

The Rise of The Synths Companion Album on Lakeshore Records

Lakeshore Records is pleased to announce Giorgio Moroder, three-time Academy Award® winner (Midnight Express, Top Gun, Flashdance), together with composer Raney Shockne (TV’s “Queen of the South”, “Anger Management”), will contribute a new and original track to the upcoming The Rise of The Synths Companion Album!   Giorgio is often credited as the pioneer of Italo disco and electronic music, known for music to some of the most iconic films of the 1970s and ’80s, and Raney’s compositions and music credits include box office favorites such as Zoolander 2 (starring Ben Stiller), The Age of Adaline (starring Blake Lively) and Crank: High Voltage (starring Jason Statham).

“Giorgio Moroder and I were searching for sounds that would work for the film and we kept liking patches that were actually called things like “Giorgio 1 or Midnight Express”.   We laughed about it.  They all sounded like the Arp 2600 so Giorgio said, “maybe we should just use the Arp 2600 instead.”   So we did.”

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the full album details to be announced soon!
