Rocket Science

Musician Eef Barzelay (Rudderless) made his scoring debut on Rocket Science, the Sundance Film Festival winner directed by Jeffery Blitz (Spellbound).  Starring Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates‘ Anna Kendrick in one of her first feature films, and Reece Thompson as Hal Hefner, a stuttering teen who joins the debate team and navigates coming-of-age challenges.  The Playlist said, “Barzelay’s score is folky, orchestral and naturally quirky and wacky in moments (“Rocket Science” looks a little like “Rushmore” if thrown through the patented Sundance filter of indie-awkwardness and lovable eccentricity, i.e., “quirky”).
