Lakeshore Records will release Captain Fantastic (Music From The Film) digitally and CD on July 8! The LP will also be released through label partners, Invada Records. Watch the exclusive music video featuring the track, “A New Beginning” by Alex Somers, frequent Sigur Rós and Jónsi collaborator! The video was produced by Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir.
The film, written and directed by Matt Ross — who recently won Best Director at Cannes — debuted to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival this year, with the Guardian calling it “heartfelt, comedic, gorgeous” and Variety saying that “Viggo Mortensen gets the role he may well have been born to play” with Ben, a wildly unconventional type of patriarch.
