My expectations of a romantic comedy score aren’t usually very big and “Playing it cool” easily surpasses them. It’s short, it’s only a collection of moments and it has a theme I had time to recognize in 20 minutes of music. The score never drags and has a very enjoyable rhythm. Lakeshore Records is pleased to release the soundtrack to Playing It Cool, the new film starring Chris Evans (Snowpiercer, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Michelle Monaghan (Better Living Through Chemistry, Source Code), Luke Wilson (Henry Poole Is Here, My Super Ex-Girlfriend), Topher Grace (Interstellar, Spider-Man 3), Anthony Mackie (Repentance, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Aubrey Plaza (NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Phillip Baker Hall (People Like Us, Magnolia), is available on VOD on February 14 and in theaters later this year.
